Welcome to M514 (m514.co.za). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any purchase you make from us. By browsing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

These Terms are governed by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act).

2. About M514

M514 is a Christian streetwear brand rooted in Matthew 5:14. We sell graphic tees, hoodies, sweaters, and trucker caps directly to customers via our website. A portion of proceeds supports street outreach in Cape Town, in line with our broader mission.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent/guardian, to place an order with us. By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you’re legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Products & Pricing

  • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • We make every effort to display accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing, but errors can occur. If we discover a pricing or listing error after you’ve placed an order, we’ll contact you before processing payment, and you’ll have the option to confirm at the correct price or cancel.
  • Product availability isn’t guaranteed until your order is confirmed — items may sell out, especially limited drops.
  • We reserve the right to change prices, discontinue products, or update our range at any time without prior notice.

5. Orders & Payment

  • Orders are placed through our website checkout. Once you submit an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email — this confirms we’ve received your order, not that it’s been accepted.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order (e.g. suspected fraud, pricing errors, stock unavailability). If we cancel a paid order, you’ll receive a full refund.
  • Payment is processed securely via PayFast / EFT. We do not store your card details.
  • Full payment is required before an order is shipped, unless otherwise stated.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • We ship within South Africa via The Courier Guy (PUDO).
  • Estimated delivery times are 3–7 working days from dispatch, though delays can occur due to courier or stock issues outside our control.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
  • Risk in the goods passes to you once the order is delivered to the address provided. Please ensure your delivery details are accurate — we’re not responsible for orders delayed or lost due to incorrect address information.

7. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

In line with the Consumer Protection Act:

  • You may return an item if it’s defective, damaged, or materially different from what was advertised, within 7 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.
  • To start a return, contact us at info@m514.co.za or +27 68 647 0290 with your order number and reason for return.
  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.
  • Change-of-mind returns: We accept exchanges for a different size within 7 days, subject to stock availability.
  • Sale items and limited/one-off drops are final sale and not eligible for return unless defective.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on m514.co.za — including designs, graphics, logos, product imagery, and site content — is the property of M514 and protected by South African copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, copy, or use our designs or branding without our written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data
  • Interfere with the site’s functionality or security
  • Submit false or misleading information when placing an order

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our site for any user who breaches these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, M514 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products, including delays, technical issues, or third-party service failures (e.g. courier delays, payment gateway downtime).

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights under POPIA.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Consumers may also refer unresolved complaints to the National Consumer Commission or an accredited consumer protection body.
